Iranian Forces State Assault on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Counterattacks.

Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched missile attacks across the region in retaliation for a large-scale and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area close to the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The full scale of any destruction is uncertain and the US has remained silent.

Airspace Engagements

Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house American military installations - reported they have intercepted missiles in their airspace.

In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry announced it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the region.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was striking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the offensive on Iran carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That preceding assault - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck areas linked to the the regime, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to rise up against the regime.

Regional Fallout

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israel Defense Forces said it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the UAE announced that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses engaged the missiles with notable success and destroyed a several projectiles," it added.

The statement noted wreckage fell on a populated district in the capital, resulting in some structural damage and killing a civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
